LITTER PICK UPS

• We have litter pick up equipment (bags, gloves, picker tools, and sanitiser) which are available to all club members for club activities. If you’d like to avail of this equipment on one of your club hikes do let me know.

TRANSPORT CARBON EMISSIONS

• When appropriate and feasible transport sharing is encouraged, to limit our carbon footprint. The Transport for Ireland app can sometimes provide good public transport options to join hikes too. 
• I’ve established a link with BUS HIRE DUBLIN, who transport some hiking teams in Dublin, to/from different locations. They have a capacity of up to 25 people, provide an opportunity to do linear routes, and later starting times, allowing options to leave the cars at home. There are some club walks proposed in the summer, where this bus option is proposed. More later.
